Located on the second floor at the head of the front staircase, the Dawson Street Room has a queen sized brass bed. On the front of the house, the room features four sunny windows with sunny yellow walls. Two windows are small and overlook the front yard and two windows are large overlooking Dawson Street.

The bath in this room may be one of three that were included in a renovation by two lady owners in the 1930’s. (more will be heard about the ladies relative to other rooms) The long bath was once partly closet and partly “back hall”. It now boasts an elegant pedestal sink and walk in shower with eyelet lace curtain and wainscoting from another era.

The sitting area consists of a comfortable chair and a love seat… just right for television or conversation. The most unusual piece in the room (and one of the most unusual in the house) is the Jean Harlow dresser named for the 1920’s actress. It has a full length mirror above a platform and flanked by two tiers of small drawers. We can find no one who has ever seen a dresser of this kind before!
